AM Radio lens
What would you use to remove minor wear marks from the lens? I have it removed from the bezel and it has some scuffs. I thought I could clean it up. Also has anyone re-screened or painted the numbers? What paint would be a good option. Thank you, Bruce

Re: AM Radio lens
Are the scratches on the front or back? The front can be wet sanded with finer grit sandpaper and finished with plastic polish. The back would need to be screen printed or stenciled but I have no idea how cost effective that would be.

Re: AM Radio lens
Minor wear is mainly on the front of the lens. How fine of paper and any specific name brand of polish? The numbers on the back are actually embossed in the negative. Could tape off or squegee, just wondering what paint and what color? Thank you, Bruce

Re: AM Radio lens
The grits I use are 1k, 2k, 6k, 12k, 20k, and 24k if need be. I build models so it was a hobby micro polish set. I actually buffed mine with turtle wax rubbing compound and a wax finish but plastic wax would work better I'm sure.
