Re: Need your guys opinion-- Which wheels
My first choice would be black with white hub caps, but since thats not an option I say go white with shiny hub caps

Re: Need your guys opinion-- Which wheels
Thanks guys, Yeah I'm going to loose the whitewalls and the west coast mirrors. I already have new chrome bumpers and aluminum trim pieces for the grill. So there won't be any white left on the truck. I like the look of white wheels and caps, but I also like the blue wheels and shiny caps both with trim rings.

Re: Need your guys opinion-- Which wheels
That set of four caps that somebody posted is from a '68. The El Camino that I drove in 'Nam, had a set like that on it. To me, they would be appropriate if your wheels have the "knobs" that will accept them. Adding the bright trim to the grille and losing the West Coast mirrors, plus replacing the bumpers with chrome, is gonna look sweet.
Now, just do a little work to adjust the altitude to a lower profile and you've got it! Whatever you do, it's looking good.

Re: Need your guys opinion-- Which wheels
I have enough rims to paint a set black and a set white. So do I paint them gloss or satin? Here are pics of the black rims with white caps.

Re: Need your guys opinion-- Which wheels
I already have 4 -15"x8" 5 lug, 4 -15"x6" 5 lug and I know where there are 2 -15"x7" wheels in which I can buy.
I like the black with white caps for a bold stock look. Then I like the white with trim ring and stainless cap. Painting two sets of wheels isn't a big deal but I don't think I can justify two sets of tires.

Super old thread but wanted to share. I'm going with white wheels and chrome caps. I have a freshly chromed set of caps waiting Nate

Re: Need your guys opinion-- Which wheels
I like the black, if not that white but satin; IMO gloss is just wrong on the wheels.

Re: Need your guys opinion-- Which wheels
Well I may repaint them as I am not totally satisfied with the powder coating job that was done on them. So what sheen would you use on the bumpers as they will be white also. Nate

Re: Need your guys opinion-- Which wheels
Nate, this thread is 6 years old now. Are you still trying to make a decision on the wheels?
