'71 lower control arm cross shaft pin

This is a problem, isn't it? Was going to hang the lowers today but this looks like it might make things a little cockeyed.

If its going to be a problem, perhaps I should try and chisel it out and use a socket head capscrew?

Yeah itll never seat right and put additional tension on the u bolt. Can you replace it?

I'll certainly have to try.

Bonus question: torqued down the Castle nuts on the ball joints on the other side of the vehicle. At spec, the holes are above the castle nut's reach. Back them off? Spacers? burn my house to the ground with my truck inside it? (option 3, not technically an option)

Got it outta there, I'll see what i can find in the fastener section.

Tip: For rivets in tight spots, or if you're absent a grinder or a sufficient air compressor or drill. This guy and a BFH worked great for me on rivets.

Good evening Djs71. There is a thread on this site were chevyrestoguy modified his lower control arm shaft for more caster. He modified the control arm hangers. The thread is called " my caster mod ". I tried to post pics but the server was slow. Check it out. It help you accomplish your goal. Good luck
