speedo cable

i converted a IL6 with 3ot to sbc and a 4speed m-20 and the (hook up is on oppisite side of trans)speedometer cable is short any suggestions is there a part # from a different year or model like a chevelle or el comino sure someone has had this issue

If it was me, I would get a measurement of you existing cable plus the additional length you need and have a speedometer shop make you a new one. They should be able to set you up for around $30.00 - $50.00.

Other wise, you may find a application for a car that will work but you may have to play trial and error to get it right.

I just took the shorter tranny out of my 67 and had to buy a longer cable from brothers. Mine was on the same side though before and after.

Here is the one I bought. It says it doesn't work with 4WD.
