any recommendations for paints that work good on small plastic items, like defrost and air vents , thanks

As long as your prep work is good, I have never had any problems with any paints at all.
Be VERY certian that the plastic is clean. Since it has small pores in it, the plastic will hold oils and armor-all type coatings and totally screw up your paint. Some spray bomb paint pre-cleaner does more than one would think. |

you can try an adhesion promoter as well. i have had good luck with Bulldog. you can purchase it at just about any automotive paint store.

ive used model paints with good luck. plastic is what they are made for, but i have to agree with the good prepwork post. thats the number one thing.

I just painted my console and door pillar cap with SEM plastic color coat paint and it turned out great, looks like it came from the factory.

I use Krylon Fusion - its for plastic. Works very well. I got it at Wal-Mart.

I second the fusion work's great... On plastic's that have been around awhile I use adhiesion promoter along with a through prep job..
