Upholstery Opinions

I stopped by a shop today for a quote. He told me leather would be around $2500 ($600 per hide) or a leather "look-alike" would be around $1000. This would include dash pad, door panels, sunvisors, and the seat (with foam repair).

Do these prices sound fair to those who have gone this route?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Upholstery Opinions

The leather "look-alike" seems reasonable. Just about any decent seat cover is $250 to $300 and that's not installed. Add in the other pieces and it doesn't sound out of line to me.

Have no experience with leather so can't really comment, but it doesn't sound likes he give you a "I don't want to do it" price on the other.

Re: Upholstery Opinions

he seems very reasonable considering the fact that to have a "factory correct" seat done up with new foam and seatcovers goes regularly for about a thousand dollars just for the seat

Re: Upholstery Opinions

Sounds like a good deal to me. I am paying around 6200.00 for Italian leather and thats for custom door panels, console, headliner, dash pad, behind the seat speaker enclosure, custom carpet and recovering 2002 trailblazer electric seats. I think it was around 2100.00 just for the leather
