POL's tubular motor mounts????

Anybody use the tubular motor mounts off of the Performanceonline.com. Im having a hard time tracking down the motor mounts for the bbc 68-71 style. I have the stands but I cant find the mounts unless I want to pay out my rear. Anyway Im running a bbc with headers and was wondering if anybody had some experience with this set. Was the motor mounted to far back or forward, any clearance issues with headers, ect.............?

Re: POL's tubular motor mounts????

I had just ordered the small block stands and they were very easy to install.
I had ordered them because my headers were hitting the stock stands by switching them to the POL stands it gave more than a inch clearance for my headers. But I was happy how much easier it was to mount the motor to the new POL engine stands but Im not to sure how the big block mounts probably similar. I wish I did it sooner.

Well... they bolt in either the 6 or 8 cyl position... also "offset" somewhat forward... supposedly to allow the use of hei and clear the firewall.

I used them when I swapped to an LS.

Bump
See Ten used these on his LS swap.
Any other info on these being used on an LS swap on 67-72? What exhaust manifolds did you use? Did you use regular adapter plates or sliders? Transmission tunnel low hump or high hump? Thanks for any info!

Re: POL's tubular motor mounts????

I used the POL tubular mounts, regular plates, low hump tunnel, and I have a 4L80E. I have Doug Thorley swap headers, but I know that TBSS manifolds will fit without any mods.
