1961-63 c20 standard hub caps x2

picked these up a year or so back for $40 for the pair. Been painted several times, will clean up nice, but definitely not show quality. Minor dents, nothing bad....has plenty of surface rust on back....but no holes. See pics....if additional pics needed, please let me know. Paint looks horrible, but the caps are actually pretty nice.

2 caps 1961-63 c20

Will do $20 a piece if only one wanted or $40 for the pair plus shipping

The poor paint does make them appear pretty rough. Are either dent free? If so, I'm interested.

Let me look them over when I get home. I know the paint definitely makes them look worse than they are.

Re: 1961-63 c20 standard hub caps x2

These are not C-20 caps - commonly mistaken for such though. There are two types of steel rings pressed in the backside of caps - one skinny set (like these) used for clip type 16" rims and another wider ring used for 3/4 ton and 1 tons.

If I have it backwards, anyone can correct me, but if my memory serves me right, the ones on my 64 3/4 ton are the wide version

Re: 1961-63 c20 standard hub caps x2

I'll get some measurements off the back. Didn't even consider the 16" rims into the equation. I'll get better pics and measurements tonight.

I really need to get measurements after rereading this post

I may have it backwards - wish I knew who to ask for sure - I know 3/4 and 1 ton uses one type and 16" clip type wheels came with the other, so I may have it right backwards - could be skinny is 3/4 and 1 ton and wider rings are 16" clip type .....maybe another member will chime in and clarify if I am right or not.

Re: 1961-63 c20 standard hub caps x2

All 3/4 ton, eight lug wheels used the skinny ring caps (larger opening). 1/2 ton, 15" six lug wheels used the wide ring caps (smaller opening). What I cannot say, is which cap the 16" six lug wheels or 17.5" six lug wheels used.
I think it may be as simple as: all eight lug= skinny, all six lug= wide
Of course, all of the above info applies to clip type wheels, not the bump type, for which the caps had no rings.

I'll get some measurements tonight and maybe it'll help figure out their application.

These are 3/4 - 1 ton caps based off the inner ring size.

There you go - I knew someone would know for sure. I have a 3/4 ton truck w/ caps on it, but couldn't remember without going over there and popping one off - I guess I had it backwards - sorry for the false alarm
