Re: Why won't this sell????

That does seem like a good deal, but to be honest with you, I would say the color is a big factor in selling it. The further off the beaten path you get, the narrower your selling audience becomes. I think you're just going to have to wait for the right buyer.

Re: Why won't this sell????

Nicely built truck. But it was really built to a look that you personally like, which is great, if you never planned on selling it. I think if it had more of a stock color scheme and toned down tire and wheel combo it would have sold quickly (course that would be more along my personal tastes).

When a buyer looks at a vehicle like yours, they are also factoring in the cost of "making it their own" All of a sudden the price of 15K takes a big jump.

Motor runs? Last I saw, the previous owner had blown the Caddy. Can't recall if he rebuilt it prior to selling, or if he let it go as a roller.

Re: Why won't this sell????

Ya I built a hyd roller caddy 519 for it after I got it from Dennis. Put deaver springs on it, prp seats and got rid of the 2 tone paint. The paint color def wouldn't have been my choice but it did go with the theme Dennis set out on with the build. Maybe a scuff and respray is in order...

Re: Why won't this sell????

Highly modified vehicles are harder to sell than ones that are stock or nearly stock, plus that 519 Caddy gets what, 5-6 MPG? Have you noticed the price of gasoline lately?
It's a bad-azz rig no doubt.....I don't even oppose the color that much.......it's just narrowed to a smaller market.
Take heart, a friend of mine in the used car business once told me "there's an azz for every seat"......!

Re: Why won't this sell????

I've seen this for sale on CL http://redding.craigslist.org/cto/4695113675.html and think it's a pretty cool blazer. I personally like the wheels and tires. I think if you were to take the time to repaint it, it might not be worth it unless you can do it all yourself. I have the luck of having a friend who paints and does body work myself. It can be very costly to have a shop do any work. You could always shoot it the hugger orange I know most people love that color. Of course you would have to tear it all apart to paint the interior.

Re: Why won't this sell????

I think most people looking for this body style want a reliable weekend cruiser. Not an ultimate off road rig. And the guy building the ultimate off road rig is most likely wanting to start from scratch for the most part.

Its close to what I want to accomplish with a rig minus the super tall gears and the monster engine.
