Re: 63 c10 Gauge Restoration

Well, I have seen gauge restoration stickers, cant find them, not sure where I found them... Thinking of doing the same thing and restoring my gauge plastic with some polish.

Re: 63 c10 Gauge Restoration

Jason at Greenback should be able to restore the gauges. I do know that he can add modern gauge internals while keeping the original look. He's currently working on a stock-appearing 10k tach and 160 mph speedometer for my '66, should be done within a couple weeks.

This is just a photoshop edit I did to give Jason an idea of what I was wanting, but the real thing should look identical.

He quoted around $475-500 for a new tach fitted to the factory cluster using the original block-off plate, calibrating it for 10k, making the 10k face, and designing/making the speedo graphics for the lens (not the lens itself, just the decal to go on mine). I'll have to get the speedo recalibrated, but I'll wait and sort that out later since the T56 trans I'm using doesn't have a cable drive. He's been very easy to work with and based on my experience with him so far I'd use him again. I've used one of his decals in the past and they were much better quality than the ones available on Ebay.

I have used greg at madmonkeyrestorations.com with no complaints on my end. He was able to restore my factory vacuum guage and it looks and works perfect. Also...bowtie bits restores guages also...I believe around $65 apiece

Re: 63 c10 Gauge Restoration

I think Tom does them also. I think he does just about any cluster . He does gauge repairs and calibration too.
