Suburban and panel frame switch.

So I've been thinking. Nearly every panel made was a 2wd. Some suburbans were 4wd. Could a fellow put a panel body onto a 4wd 'burb frame and have that actually work?

Opinions? Experience?

Re: Suburban and panel frame switch.

In areas where logging was/is active 4wd panels were popular...I have seen a couple of units in western Canada. The 4wd units tend to have more options also.

Really? Well, could you keep an eye out for me? I'd pay you a finder's fee on anything you direct me to and I buy.

Re: Suburban and panel frame switch.

There were very few 4X4 panels built. If you find one, you'll have gotten lucky.

The picture I posted is of a unit that was for sale in Vernon,BC last year.

There was another 4x4 in Calgary as well but I did not save a picture.

If I see any more I will add to this post ....I am interested in 2wd only.

Re: Suburban and panel frame switch.

Can you post a link?

I think the 2wd is more attractive stance-wise but it would be so nice to (finally) own a 4x4.
