They are the same. The passenger mounting brackets are the only difference

Re: difference between c10 buckets and k5 buckets
I have both a K5 and truck with original buckets in them. Zep is right. Passenger seat bracket on K5 flips seat forward. Truck is a simple stationary bracket no slide.

Blazer buckets also have a plastic panel attached to the back of the seat so the foam isn't exposed.

Re: difference between c10 buckets and k5 buckets
You can buy the pick up passenger bases here:
http://www.earlyclassic.com/catalog....ory=upholstery The 73 and later blazer consoles have round 'cup' style holes and the pickups and pre 73 blazer consoles have square seat belt holes (drinks don't fit) Last edited by ho70; 02-15-2014 at 02:19 AM. |

Re: difference between c10 buckets and k5 buckets
I think we have all been assuming that when you say K5 you mean a Blazer from 69-72. Is that what you mean?
You should also be aware that the truck and Blazer 69/70 buckets are a little different from the truck and Blazer 71/72 buckets. 73 through about 75 (?) buckets are similar to the 71/72s. After that they changed to high back buckets. The round cup holder consoles were used starting in 73 as noted in the post above, but only through 1979 or 1980. Here's a link to a great thread with pictures of the 69-72 seats and console. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=437963 If the seats and console you are looking at are correct for these years and in fairly decent shape, $350 is a great buy. This is the 67-72 message board where posts like this are made to gain/share info. Try posting a WTB in the 73-87 parts board or just try you search there, you'll have better luck
