Below the fuel tank? Doesn't the tank connect to the line via gas hose?

Here are my pics of my fuel and vent lines (second upload attempt). 1). Left to right: fuel line, rear part of vent line, front of vent line. 2). Under cab: top is rear of fuel line, middle is brake line, bottom is rear of vent line (notice is passes through the frame member). 3). Under passenger side door: the connection of the 2-piece vent line. 4). Vent line front: here the vent line passes through a spring and attaches to the frame via a clip. The black hose connects it to the charcoal canister. These are all the pics I have on file. I hope they help. |

Re: Fuel line, brake line routing on 72
I'm not sure if this is what you are asking for, but here are 5 pictures tracing the lines from front to the tank connection on my 69 3/4 ton. I know the front lines are different for your disc brake 72, but these are likely the same. Perhaps someone can confirm.
Edit: Oops... forgot about your vent line... Last edited by FirstOwner69; 10-05-2014 at 09:58 PM. |

Never heard of Wrecked Chevy - though I'm sure you have good intentions He asked for 'below the fuel tank' not the entire line. And look, you've got the the gas hose.

Re: Fuel line, brake line routing on 72
On a 72 shouldn't there be 3 lines that run in the frame?
1. a line that runs to the charcoal canister 2. a fuel line that runs to the fuel pump 3. a return line that runs to the fuel pump. so with those three plus the brake line there would be 4 hard lines running in the frame? In the ten ring - so from top down you have the fuel line, brake line, then vent line. does yours have the return line? my fuel pump has two connections on it. thanks jeff |

Re: Fuel line, brake line routing on 72
I got a question, 350 sbc w 4barrel, fuel line from tank to fuel pump size 3/8
307 sbc w 2barrel the same line would be 5/16 Is this correct? Just removed the tank from the cab and installed a new fuel tank under the bed so I'm running new fuel line from the new tank to the fuel pump so wanna get this correct on the fuel line size. I have a 350 sbc w a 4 barrel carb..
