Nice pics, and the truck looks good. That green and white paint is nice.
What are the plans for the frames? Here's another one if you need a third one. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/pts/3816083578.html |

I did go to Nashville last weekend, the Goodguys show was pretty good. It was rainy Friday, but not too bad. There were some really nice trucks there!

Re: Will's 1955 2nd Series Stepside Project
One thing I always wished my truck had was a bed mounted spare tire carrier. So I always said that if I came across a nice spare tire cutout fender that I would pick it up. I was never too optimistic about coming across that deal but sure enough a guy posted one on the local craigslist for $150. I thought that was a pretty good deal considering how nice shape it is in! So I will soon be painting it to match, but now I need to locate a spare tire bracket. Does anyone have one they would be willing to sell?

Re: Will's 1955 2nd Series Stepside Project
That's a nice looking fender. I always liked them better without the cutout, seemed to interrupt the lines. I have removed them from 2 trucks and scrounged the underbed carrier!

Re: Will's 1955 2nd Series Stepside Project
To each their own I suppose! If it was more of a hot rodded truck I would definitely consider it a no no, but having that sort of old farm truck vibe I think it fits the personality. The good news is that I'll keep the regular fender in case I ever wake up one morning and wonder what the heck was I thinking.

True! Do you have another 55 wheel to put on it?

Re: Will's 1955 2nd Series Stepside Project
Yes sir, if you go up a few posts you will see that I have a spare mounted in the bed right now. It is a genuine '56 GM wheel as well. That is the ONE that I was able to find before you came to my rescue

Oh yes, I see. I'm not really sure what the sidemount bracket for these trucks looks like, hope you find one!

Re: Will's 1955 2nd Series Stepside Project
Will I love your truck. I wonder if you can help me. I love those 56 hubcaps you have. Is there any new wheel that Wheel Vintiques make that it would fit on. I like those hubcaps and I would like to put them on a 15x8 wheel with 5 x 4 3/4" bolt pattern. Do you have any pictures of the wheel surface itself and the backside of the hubcap?
