72 fixed mast antenna part

I need the retainer piece for a 72 fixed mast antenna ( not sure what it's called) that goes under the cowl panel that keeps the antenna base from coming through the cowl panel once you put the housing and nut on.

Thanks,
Ray

Re: 72 fixed mast antenna part

I may have one from a broken antenna. I will look when the sun comes up. If I do find it, I will post pics to verify what you are looking for. Free, just pay shipping from 78602.

72 Super, I have this antenna with the part I am guessing you need. Forgive me, the only camera available was my cellphone.

Re: 72 fixed mast antenna part

Hi Paul, that looks like it. Was that a fixed mast antenna? I'm replacing an rubber aftermarket one with a original. Is that the only piece that goes under the cowl.

Thanks,
Ray

Re: 72 fixed mast antenna part

I found this fixed mast antenna with no nut or hardware on the top of the cowl cover in the local pull-your-part. The piece next to the antenna was underneath the cowl cover. What you see is what I have.

Re: 72 fixed mast antenna part

Jake1971 is correct. That's exactly the same part that was on my 72.
