Got a few more parts from the big block to fund the new crate motor:

- Edelbrock 1407 carb, 750cfm. Great condition, just rebuilt and barely run since. SOLD + shipping. These are heavy so shipping won't be cheap to the east coast.
- 396/402/454 stock manifolds. I had these blasted, then painted them with POR15 Exhaust Gray, then added new studs. Used only as much as the carb, which isn't much. Paint looks killer still, like new. SOLD

It's a manual choke. I think Edelbrock makes a kit to convert to automatic choke.

Looks like $75 total to ship, so $175 shipped. It's pretty heavy (34lbs) so that's why the shipping wound up being a bit.

Let me know. I'd bet shipping to Canada would be more than that.

I may buy the carb but have a question? Is the 1407 a little much for a stock 1969 truck 396 ? I ask because I had a 1406( 600cfm ) on my other tuck with a 396 and it ran and performed perfectly. Your manual choke would work for me because there is one on the 396 truck now. Is there a lot of miles on your carb because you said you rebuilt it?

Anytime I get a carb that is used I tear it apart and clean it. It was actually pretty clean when I got it. I don't know if it's had that many miles, it seems relatively new. The finish is even nice still. I had it on a 402, which is basically the same thing as a 396 with a slight bore difference. I know you can run a 1406 on a 396/402, but I think it's on the small side.

Thanks for the jnfo. Now I have to decide if I want to get the Quadrajet rebuilt or get your carb. Any idea what shipping would be to the Great White North?

No, but I can find out. If I had to guess I'd have to say at least $20... probably more like $30, but I don't know how much they charge for Canada.
