I agree....I've never done a rear end before but Before I opened it up I did my research. But I've found that the crush sleeve that came in the kit is .550 inches long. The OEM crush sleeve from Napa is .630 inches long...I'm beginning to wonder if that could be part of the problem

Forget the crush sleeve and get a pinion bearing preload spacer w/shims made by Ratech or Richmond. Much easier way to set your pinion bearing preload accurately.
