1966 C30 Dually Farm Truck - Oh Yes!

I landed this truck.

Almost no rust. Lots of dings. Lots of patina.

Delivered.

Welcome to the forum

Great score on the C30

That is in really quite nice shape for a C30. What are your plans for it?

Thanks.

Plans are for getting the truck inspected and registered, and then use it, and drive it as is.

I'll store the truck for the winter.

It is in really nice shape so it mustn't be a Canadian truck.

Welcome and nice truck!

Very nice! Personally I'd swap the sides for some wooden sides, but other than that just drive it.

The truck was on a farm near Wichita, KS, as seen from outer space.

Now THAT's dedication. You know its special when you start using satelite footage to search for your next truck.

That might be happening eventually.

But first it will need to haul demolition material to the dump, so the steel sides will be handy.

Truck already was helpfull last week-end. Friend's old Massey-Harris tractor died in the field, burnt fuse. We hooked the tractor to the truck, and pulled it back to the garage. Easy peasy.

Since I'll be bringing the truck downtown, I need to find out how to lock the truck to keep the hobos out.

Could not find any way to lock it from the inside, or the outside...

To lock the passenger side door push the inside handle the opposite direction from opening the door and it will be locked. The ignition key should lock the driver's door from the outside.

Ah, so that's the "secret handshake".

Thanks!

Re: 1966 C30 Dually Farm Truck - Oh Yes!

Today I saw a '65 or '66 C10 pickup with an old Texas front license plate!

Quite rare around here.

Anyhoo, rumor has it that I might have new parts coming in soon...
