seatbelts hangin loose

ok ... im tired of my selt belts getting caught in the doors ... mostly by my passengers ... both sides dont want to retract anymore ... is there something i can check or replace to get these things back to semi-normal again .... any tips or suggests would be great

what have you guys done about this problem ??

You gotta love it when the male part of the buckle lays in the door jamb and stops the door from latching. (Can you tell I've been there?)
I simply replaced mine, but I had a real nice parts truck at my disposal.

Usually, lubing the retract mechanism works unless the spring is broke. What I do is remove the sheath and spray the roller with the belt full extended. Work it for a few minutes and if it does not retract properly, I adjust the spring by winding it up a few turns,
using the center pin. I use Aero Kroil but any light penetrant should work.

It is a made in Tennesee penetrant that has been around for a long time. It works very well as a penetrant and as a light lube. I like it because it is not flammable and a can lasts a long time.
