61 c30 1ton 9ft bed build
Hello everyone this is my first post to the site I am a prod owner of a 1961 c30 apache. found this gem on e-bay out of Harrisburg PA about 6 hrs east of me. I FELL IN LOVE! I hauled her home and instantly wanted to get busy. so we tried to fire her up but were unsuccessful at first, but after a new rebuilt carb we had her fired up man nothing beats the sound of a 235. I hit the brake pedal straight to the floor

Re: 61 c30 1ton 9ft bed build
thanks I am exited and have a pretty good plan for her. I am a huge marine guy I collect antique and vintage outboard motors. my plan is to turn this into a marine service truck and build a rack to haul the engines in the back and maybe find an old wooden boat to display being pulled behind. Im not doing a frame off ground up restoration but more of a preservation. Im keeping the 235 and the 4 spd redoing the bed floor in wood, some minor rust fixes, polishing the stainless, and a red and cream accent paint job and she will be just right.

Neat! Not many of the big stepside trucks around.

Looks cool, was wondering if a duel wheel axle would bolt up to that without modification?
