Anyone here ever use seafoam treatment on their 1999 and above tahoes?
Was thinking of trying it on my 1999 2 door tahoe. It has 195,000 miles on it. It runs good but just thought with this amount of miles maybe it would clear out any grime or sludge and respond a bit better afterwards. I had it done to my wifes 77 3/4 ton that has a 454 and man did it wake that beast up. It has never ran this good and respond as well as it does now. Thought maybe it could not hurt in the tahoe. If any of you have done it to your tahoe was their an improvement?

I have on all my vehicles , 01 Tahoe, 5.3 LS, 200k, miles are not right Speedo is fast. 96 Z28 250,xxx miles. My wife's 00 Durango 5.9 SLT. APPROX 180,xxx.
Hell yeah, it wakes them up! It a cleaner, if done right. You SHOULD pick up noticeable improvement throttle response, slight mpg uptick. I usually foam my herd bout 3 times a year. First time I used the stuff, I was skeptical, but now ten years later, I LOVE this stuff. |

That's good to know. Well if it wakes up my tahoe any bit close to the way it woke my wife's 77 3/4 ton yikes! Man that truck frikin rocks now. I'm looking forward to giving it the treatment and see the results it gives. Do you use it in the oil and gas as well? We did it thru the brake booster on the truck.

Hey trixxterr where did you pour it in at? The brake booster or pcv line? I read that it should be poured in thru the pcv line cause if you go thru the brake booster line it does not get to all cylinders on the 350 vortec which is the motor I have on my 99 tahoe.

I usually put about half in the gas tank, and feed the rest in through the booster vacuum line, pretty sure the pcv line is pressure not vacuum. As in positive crankcase ventilation. But should I be wrong either way would acceptable. Sorry for late reply, hectic busy @ work.

Every oil change I buy a can and run it through my truck. I pour 1/3 to 1/2 of the can in the oil about 50 miles before my oil change, 1/3 to 1/2 of the can in a half empty gas tank and twice a every other oil change I put 1/3 of a can in the intake. I do this to all of my vehicles new or old and I recommend it to all of my friends. It seems to have more of a noticeable difference when I apply it to carbed vehicles, but it always helps!

I take the line of the brake booster with the engine running and let the intake sick about a third a can in then dump it in until it stalls the vehicle. I put the rest in the gas tank with about a third of a tank off gas. Then I spray seafoam deep creep in the throttle body to clean the blades. Put it all back together and take it on a spirited drive for about 20 minutes. It'll wake it up. I do it every 3rd oil change
Everyone has a different method but I found this method to work great
