Question Vacuum and Intake Connections HELP!!

Just dropped a 350 into my 71 C10 2WD with and automatic. I will not be runnning any of the emissions crap and was hoping someone could let me know what vacuum connections i will need to make to just have all the basics work. Also any pictures and info on all the connections you made on an edelbrock preformer on a sb350 would be most helpful and appreciated. This is my first engine swap so im a little nervous. Thanks!!

Ok, you don't need very m any vaccum connections at all. You only need: Vaccum to the vaccum advance cannister on the distributor, vaccum too the transmisson modulator, vaccum to the PCV valve, and vaccum to the power brakes (if you are running them).

For the tranny modulator is ran off the vaccum fitting on the intake behind the carb. The power brake vaccum line can either be ran from the same vaccum fitting as the tranny modulator, or a from a port on the rear of your carb.

The vaccum line for the vaccum advance is ran off a port on the front of the carb. There will proably be more than one, and i myself prefer to hook the vaccum advance up to the port that has vaccum at idle. Makes it idle really smooth. Just stick your finger over the port to see if it has vaccum at idle or not.

The PCV will be run from a large fitting on the carb to the PCV valve.

That is all you need. Hook all of it up and you should be set

sounds like good advice, went over his list and couldn't think of any others unless you have different equip installed.

anyone know what size vacuum lines i need for each of the connections mentioned in YELLOW's post??? Please help

Vacuum fitting sizes: 3/8" for brake and pcv

1/4" for transmission line

3/16" for vacuum advance
