1976 Stepside Project - And Boy Is It Ever
Just picked up a 1976 2wd stepside pickup as my property vehicle/project.
350ci engine runs smooth and strong automatic 3 speed runs strong Brakes are very good Ah but the rest. Number one on the fix list: Heater core replacement and heater motor replacement. Up here in the NW there is no getting by without heat to the cab. Next will come the exhaust. It has a couple of cherry bombs, one with a tail pipe that does not reach outside the truck, and the other that has no tail pipe. Bet you can guess what that smells like in the cab. Tons of other functional repairs before I can even consider beautification |

Exhaust fitted, sounds way better.
Welded up a new battery box, now the battery won't end up on the road. |

Re: 1976 Stepside Project - And Boy Is It Ever
Well the transmission needed a rebuild and before I could get it to the shop, the engine ingested coolant pretty badly. So in my search for a transplant, came across a 74 and bought it. So this project is all stop
