Knock Sensor Removal - 99 5.7L C1500 Suburban

Guys,

7/8 socket in tight places…. Anyone got any suggestions on how to get this knock sensor off the car?

Must be a special kind of tool or something.

Code P0327 so trying to replace it.

Thanks

Before you go through all that trouble, you should confirm the sensor is getting voltage. You may have a wiring issue and not a sensor problem.

You can use a wrench not a socket to get to the base to unscrew it. You could also use a pair of channel locks around the outside perimeter.
