Father/Son Project
Hello All:
Newbie here and excuse me please if this is the wrong forum. Looking for a solid drivable 61-66 SWB Fleetside. My 18 year old son and I are looking for a project. Looking to spend 8k or so. Great Forum Mike |

Welcome.
I would suggest you do a little bit of research on the different years of the trucks. They all look basicaly the same if you are unfamiliar with them. The earlier ones had torsion bar front suspension aswell as what is called the knee-knocker cabs. Some people love them others not so much. I am just saying if you are going to put out 8K it is best to get it right the first time. I am not knocking the earlier years just not what I would want. |

Thanks, yes I believe the 64 and 66 do not have the
"knee knocker" doors ? and would prefer a large rear window, but I will go to 8k for the right solid truck. I would rather deal with mechanical issues but i am familar and have done a good amout of sheet metal work. Thanks let me know if I am missing something Mike |
