Re: '85 Suburban Rear window won't raise

Thanks JohnWayneJeep for your thoughtful additions. I should be able to find a place in the cable, beneath the tailgate, into which I can splice wires leading to a fresh battery. I was wondering, am I using an external new battery with direct wires into the lift motor to eliminate all the unknown variables, such as weak dashboard switch, possible chassis shorts or other hot wire "bleeds"?

I looked up Salcha, AK on Google Maps. You are way, way up there. I imagine your K2500 4WD plow truck gets plenty of use. 10 years ago, my son and I had a 1974 International Scout that would pull down a barn. We looked and looked for a plow but never found one. Son got married, now has 3 littles, but we still browse the boards for an old IHC. Fond memories.

Thanks again,

Jonathan Smith
