new engine,what to do??
Ok so i came across a tbi 350 engine for super cheap. After a check of the numbers, its a 1989 chevy 1500 pickup tbi 350 210hp motor. Im going to rebuild it but want to tweak it a lil.what would you recommend, have done, dont do? Im looking into boring it to 355 with new pistons, cam, intake, heads.what setup would be good? Im not looking for massive numbers but a noticable change .thanks for your input!

Re: new engine,what to do??
Are you sure that its a good block? I say that because I think that they had some issues with them cracking that year. I had an 89 Blazer and mine did crack. If I remember correctly water jacket issue. I'm sure someone out there knows more about this than I do.
It was a really strong running motor though. Had a dual exhaust on it that really sounded good, and it made plenty of power... felt like a lot more than 210. |

I think you are on the right track. I haven't done what you are doing, but I did own a 91 with TBI and you defenitly want to ditch the TBI for something better
