Wiper question

Having trouble getting the new wiper motor to work. The old one died (I think), so I got a new one, without the wiper pump. I don't need the pump for it to work, correct? There is power to the pump, and all wires go to the switch correctly, but it's still not working. Assuming I don't need the pump, I guess the next thing would be a new switch
