Did you use the instructions/measurements from the graphic?? I have a 63 I want to put a passenger mirror on as well,

yes
i drilled a small hole to check the location after measuring, and it was dead center. i did the same with the other two holes.

another person has told me that both sides are not exactly the same, so i willl do the drivers side the same way...with a small guide hole
