a few questions - how thick are the boards, and how did you make the grooves for the metal strips? Also, how much could they hold? are they as strong as, say, normal wood beds?

the board that we got was 3/4" thick, we routered the grooves and i think with adequate supports, it hold be just as strong as normal wood bed
