I am sure it is factory and was always a panel. The step up under the middle seat on a suburban isn't there...its flat all the way to the front seat where it drops a few inches. jon

Jon, isn't there quite a few mods done to the body though ? Just asking, love the mystery . Rear bumper area looks modified is what Im saying.

Yes, PO modified the back to cancel out the bumper...I was fearing he used that trim piece to do it with. If you notice on the suburban picture you sent me the upper trim piece has cutouts for the window trim that aren't there on my existing panel trim.

Look again Jon, those cutouts are for the roof supports and are on the top edge, not bottom
