my 89 is take shape

I have my rear end issues fixed. Now to move on to getting this truck looking better and running the same. I did lower it some, I still want to go a little bit lower. Thinking another 2 inches all around.
Need to improve on the exhaust system. It has a worn out true dual system will very old glass packs and no convertor. My plan is headers and turbo mufflers. X-pipe and run them straight out the back.
Get the under hood area cleaned up a lot better that it is. No chrome just clean and less is better.
The interior is going to be a big job need everything but a dash. Its nice to find a vehicle that has been smoke free.

Re: my 89 is take shape

I have been working with this old heap while still driving. I had the grille out and repainted the core support. The stock grille is in pretty bad shape, the chrome is pealing and what black area's had faded to a light gray.
So I decided since a new one would be coming soon, why not have some fun with the old one. I had recently painted something else using Tractor Supply gloss black enamel. I had a bit left over in the quart, and some of the hardener.
I grabbed the dremel tool and cut some more air inlets, and then let the paint fly. You can spray that paint so wet you would think its going to run right off of what its being sprayed on. But not this stuff, I laided it on thick and it filled in the places where the plastic chrome had pealed off. It was a fun couple of hours, till clean up time.
