Re: 62 window frame

I really doubt that they are the same and I don't think anyone sells them. Best bet is to fix the ones you have or go to the junk yard. Some trucks came with them and some didn't. The ones with them have different felt in the channel but the doors are the same.

Re: 62 window frame

If you're talking about the exterior trim, the 60-66 versions you've seen were only available originally on GMC trucks. They do however fit perfectly on Chevy trucks as well.

Here are the two styles:

Re: 62 window frame

Or are you talking about this glass frame?

If so, I have yet to find them reproduced. I'm interested to know if the 55-59 will fit as well. As you see I'm gonna need to replace the glass and I'm not sure if I can get the frame/metal strip off without damaging it.

Re: 62 window frame

the glass will come out. remove the bottom that attaches to window regulator then use a piece of wood (2x2--2x4) put it against the metal frame and tap frame off. pic is before glass install after re-paint. have fun

Re: 62 window frame

I thought so. Just wanted to make sure.

As far as I can tell the door glass for the 55-59 LOOKS the same as the 60-63 but I have no way of physically comparing or measuring. If they are not the same I'll bet they are really close. Maybe close enough to modify or tweek into fitting.

Can anyone confirm if the door glass for the 55-59 are the same as the 60-63? I think I'll post this over on the pre 60 section and see if anyone there can help also.
