WTB-Transfer Case Skid Plate
I am looking for a factory skid plate for my 72 K5. I have the gas tank skid plate and need the transfer case skid plate to complete my restoration. A reproduction will work if anyone knows where to find one, thanks.

If swyfor5 doesn't have the crossmember I will if you want to go the stock path.

Re: WTB-Transfer Case Skid Plate
I have a factory skid plate I am keeping for my build I can take it to a local fab shop and see what it would cost to have one made if interested in that. I can get you pictures of the one I have (not for sale just an example) today after work if you are interested.

Re: WTB-Transfer Case Skid Plate
Found the stocker. Couple of scratches on it but real solid. If your still looking, how's $65.00 plus ship cost sound? Here's some pic's!

Re: WTB-Transfer Case Skid Plate
Looked at my skid plate off my 71 over the weekend looks a little different than swyfor5's does. You can see I have a bent at each end of the skid plate that being said the crossmember for that skid plate is different than the automatic crossmembers it is a little shallower.

Re: WTB-Transfer Case Skid Plate
I can't remember what this one came off of but, I picked it up a long time ago for my manual 4 speed setup. So based on rippen6's info, Id's say mine is for a manual crossmember setup. Completly understand if you want to keep looking, no problems here at all. I ended up going with the Hicky style on mine and really like the way it looks. But if your going the stock route, good luck on finding one, they are out there and this is the best site to find stuff like this. Let me know, sending you a PM. Thank's, Bryan.

Re: WTB-Transfer Case Skid Plate
The style of swyfor5's transfer case skid plate (pictured below) is the one I've seen on '71-'72 Blazers with automatics. The rear transfer case skidplate crossmember is the same as the transfer case crossmember less the upper brackets.
I've never seen the style of 1rippen6's transfer case skid plate. Maybe someone else can help?

Re: WTB-Transfer Case Skid Plate
So it looks like mine is the odd one out I bought my first 71 blazer about 17 years ago and that is the shield it had on it. I assumed it was original but know looking at everyone elses maybe not.
