new guy here
I just picked up a 1962 GMC 3/4 ton with a 305 V6. The motor turns over and is getting gas just no fire. Any ideas???? Thank you

Bad coil or starter switch. Pull a plug wire and see if it's getting spark when turned over.

I had a 66 with similar problems. I ended up installing a petrinox unit and that fixed it.

Thanks everyone. I tried the screwdriver and spark plug wire and no spark. So I took the dist. cap off everything looks brand new (unbelievable) and turned it over and didn't see a spark from the points. I'm gonna change the coil and see what happens. I'll keep everyone posted. Thank you for all your help.
