dude i went "nuts" on the parts!!! i think about 90% will be NOS or rebild/repaired oem parts, but i will be driving the snot out of it. i call it a "daily show truck". my 65 stepside i call "oem custom" cuz all the parts are oem, yet either painted or chromed.

I have nothing to go by, having not really checked out another panel with the back doors open, but I have these two square holes for the upper hatch to bolt to that I assume will have a delete plate for the barn door application...so do you have the upper hatch bracket delete plates you want to part with?

ive liked the lift gate style for awhile, plus most of the members i follow have them, so it was kinda natural to lean toward lift gates. i do have the delete plates, but i will be holding on to them for now.i can send you a template and you can cut them out, its just flat 18G i think with 3 holes for mounting.

moved the beast around to get the engine out, the carb puked gas and flooded the engine, had to push it back in. NOT FUN!!!

cool...thanks for posting the pix...now I have to figure out how the big door check like thingys bolt up in that area for the barn doors...haven't seen them installed yet...mine came in a box of parts as I picked up my panel half way through someone else's build.

I only thought they had one on the top...a long, telescoping, 1" wide mechanism that bolts to the top of the hatch and top of the door.
