What year did they.....(Tranny ?)

What year did they switch from the SM-420 to the SM-465? I found a 69 or 70 (no vin or title) one ton dump and it has the SM-420 with the PTO. I thought they went to the 465 in 68? Thanks in advance.

from what I have seen, it seems that '68 and '69 were both "transition" years, and its possible to have either one.
