Hello Everyone:

Well got to work on the project some more the past couple of days.
Got both the DS n PS rear fenders mudded in n sanded out.(still not a body man)
They look good till I put the paint on then not so great. ( pic)
Will learn as I go thur the work.
Will most likely resand n repaint at a later date.
Just wanted to get some paint on to stop the rust over the winter.
Will show the start, middle n finish on the rear fenders. (pic)
Going to work on the inside dash getting the gauges(oil n temp)mounted.(no pic)

Hope this will help someone else who is working on something like this.

Good Morning Everyone;

Hope everyone had a great holiday;

Well I did get to work on the project some over the last few days.
Got the gauges in from Advance D.
Took them apart n cleaned them.
Got the gauges from the 78 dash I had laying around.
Had to do some work on the gauges to get tem to fit in the tubs.
The pics will show the steps that I went with.
The speedo went good, after I took an rebuilt the speedo. The 78 had plactic gear, where the old 50 speedo had metal gears,so use the best of both to build the speedo.
The gas gauge set up took some different type of working. Still had to trim the gauge to fit the tub,then the gauge would not stay tight in the tub, Had to use a couple of small pieces of vac hose on the tub tabs to hold the back of the gauge tight to the glass of the tub.
The next thing I need to do is ck the mounting on the dash to make sure that I have them clocked in right.

More info on what I'm working on.
Trying to make a oil n temp gauge holde to fit on the radio opening, yet have them turned to the driver view.
This is giving me some fits as to how to get the holes long gated to set the holders(exhaust pipe) in place.
Once I get this done I will give some pics up for others to ck out.
Right now it is try on see then redo.

Also going to order the NEW radiator on Monday from speedway. So once thay get here I will start back on the front fenders n the holder for the radiator.
