68 swb - lowering 6" in the front- too much?

Thanks for all the help everyone!

I am thinking about using 3" lowering spindles and I already have CPP 3" lowering springs. Will I run into any issues with a total 6" drop?

You a-arms will be about 2" from the ground with a stock crossmember.

Probably closer than 2"...I think that's the same drop put on my truck prior to purchase. It is actually lower to the ground than our 2000 corvette! Found that fun fact out when I went to the only place in our area with an oil pit that the vette barely clears...the truck needed about an inch more of clearance. The other issue is that you'll find highway transitions can be real "fun" with the setup...I-10 between the TX state line and NOLA was quite a bit of adventure in spots...

Would a porterbuilt or no limit crossmember give more clearance.?

I'm going for 5" static front drop. Thinking 2" modular spindles and 3" drop springs....

The a-arm pivot point is still the lowest part of the truck.
You need to move the crossmember up in the frame to gain ground clearance.
aka a Dropmember, sectioned crossmember or frame Z.
Thanks Keith...so ok it makes sense to me that the a-arm pivot will be lowest point...so how does the dropmember give us more clearance.? won't the a-arm pivots still be the lowest point even with the drop member.?

I can see how the drop spindles will move the a-arms closer to the road, but don't get the drop member improvement...

Sorry,... I mis-read your question.
The Dropmember DOES move the crossmember up in the frame.
Level 1 moves the crossmember and a-arms up in the frame 1".
Level 2 moves the crossmember and a-arms up in the frame 2".
Level 3 moves the crossmember and a-arms up in the frame 3". (Extreme Dropmember version)
