steering wheel choice

Ive got the stock size wheel still, and no tilt column. What are you guys installing to save some space? I could probably run all the way down to a 10" wheel cause this 77 has got the easiest power steering of any vehicle Ive owned. Could easily steer with a pinky and not stress.

What have you guys replaced the stock wheel with?

Re: steering wheel choice

I have installed a Camaro/Nova (I think) wheel on mine. What is nice about these year GM's most any wheel will bolt right up as long as you have the horn parts. I have always loved the 80's SS Monte Carlo wheels. I can post a picture of mine later when I get home.

Re: steering wheel choice

I ran a 14" billet steering wheel and it was about perfect.

Re: steering wheel choice

I put a Camaro steering wheel in my old beater. Its about 13.5in in diameter with better clearance than a stock 15in wheel.

Re: steering wheel choice

I have a 14" that came with my 74 GMC 1/2 ton. The biggest problem I have is it blocks my view of the speedometer. I have to lean forward to look over the steering wheel to see it. Steering is not an issue. I am considering getting an OEM steering wheel.
