bed preferences
just curious, which was considered more desirable back in the day: wood beds or steel?

No proof but logic would dictate steel. Switched over to steel in 1967 and was standard up to today on Chevy trucks. The wood had to be special ordered. So to the majority of the day steel

I like the Craftmatic Adjustable bed for the different positions
 Sorry couldn't resist. Steel long bed, I would hope. They were made to be work horses right??
