I need it for my 4 spd swap. I'd like one from the early 80s if possible. Post/send me some pics. Thanks,

Re: WTB: Pre-85 4wd tranny cross member
bear in mind that it is raining like I should be building an ark here I pulled it out of the bare cab where it was laying and put it on a table in my office.. If you want me to clean it up and dry it off maybe I can do that tomorrow or Wednesday but here you get the general idea

Re: WTB: Pre-85 4wd tranny cross member
measuring it across the top with the lower part down I get exactly 33 inches across. 3 3/4 tall and about 7 inches wide
I will go to the post office tomorrow and see if I can find a flat rate box . If that doesn't work I will go to the UPS store and get you a shipping price

Re: WTB: Pre-85 4wd tranny cross member
What a day I had first I went to staples which allegedly is a UPS store. the girl in there had no clue how to ship the item.. she didn't have a box then she didn't know if I could just put a plate on it and put a label on it, so I had to find a UPS store as the post office doesn't want to ship it either.
UPS store said it would cost $30.82 to ship it if I put a plate on it with the sticker because there is some kind of thing that if a shipment is unpackaged item has a ten dollar upcharge, They did have a box to put it in and that would lower the cost to $20 or so but the box costs $10 so we are back to like $31 for shipping. Make me an offer of what you think is fair if this shipping didn't put an end to this due to cost
