Re: 69 lwb with ls3 / t56
You'll probably have to install a high hump transmission cover in order to make it work.

Re: 69 lwb with ls3 / t56
Mine did fit but it is really close. However I had built my own mounts and dropped everything as much as possible when I did the original install 10 years ago. I would say you will probably need the high hump and yes they do show up on the parts board quite a bit.
Good luck

I don't know much about the ls3 but you may have in interference problem with the intake and the truck accessories. I know when you went from truck to car or vise versa there were issues on your throttle body placement but otherwise they will bolt on like Rob said.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-20-137 There's 3 different a/c compressors you can choose from. The only other things you need to buy is the spacer kit that matches your engine (corvette, Fbody camaro, or truck (and 2010+camaro) and the P/S reservoir.

Re: 69 lwb with ls3 / t56
The high humps came in 4x4s commonly. I think there was a 2wd exception to that rule but can't recall. I have a 427LSX t-56 combo in my truck and the high hump worked great.

Re: 69 lwb with ls3 / t56
bovey, thank you for the reply,
Im super frustrated at the moment with this thing,....i contacted a resto shop to take over, im in way over my head ...spent way too much and now i dont have the skills nor the tools or the knowledge to carry on. The shop will complete the body and do the wiring, then and only then could i even think about contacting someone else to install the power train. someday i hope it looks and drives as well as yours, thx s |
