Re: Ls1 swap
In the engine drive train section there is a ls swap section, you should check it for your answers.

Re: Ls1 swap
Ls motors are electronically injected, doesn't use a mechanical pump. So you have to run a (usually intank) electric fuel pump and sending unit. So you'd likely have to switch to under the bed in frame tank and pump assembly, abandoning the incab tank.

Re: Ls1 swap
They make in line fuel pumps so you dont have to abandon the in cab tank.

Re: Ls1 swap
Or you can use a surge tank and keep your in-cab tank. You can check out my build for the one that was built for my truck. Or Edelbrock is building one for one of their EFI systems.

Re: Ls1 swap
I used Walpro 255 inline pump for my street rod LS6 swap.
Used LS shorty headers from Hooker thru Summit but this was for a 48 ford truck. I needed these headers because they are rear exit to clear steering. I also used computer and wiring harness from PSI. Also I used 4l60e trans from 96 Vette.

Re: Ls1 swap
I recommend use the same manufacturer for headers and motor mount adapters. I used Doug's Headers because back in 07 there were not many cos doing LS stuff for 64-65 Chevelles. Use a factory ECU and have it tuned locally. I'm running a non computer controlled 200R4 but had my harness built with the 4L60 wiring just in case I blow up the 200. If you get a ECU from a car with a Manual trans your 400 or 700 will work fine. If you get an ECU from a auto vehicle, your tuner can just tell the ECU you are using a manual.

Re: Ls1 swap
excellent swap , love mine , fuel delivery is biggest challenge , i ditched the in cab tank used a slightly modified 90 jeep wrangler tank under the bed , and a stock 03 silverado fuel pump and cartage , corvette regulator/filter
