Air Bag Valve mount location?
Hey guys, I'm starting to do the final build on my 80 C10, and just curious where people are mounting their valve. I have a, what they call an Air Engine, with all the valves attached in one location. I was originally goinf to mount it inside that cab but recently thought that somewhere on the frame rail or firewall would be better. Please offer your advice.
Thanks guys. Also here's a few pictures of where I'm at so far...

If your not running the stock saddle gas tanks you got a lot of room on the frame sides.

There's a million places to mount it at. But just my $.02 I would mount it in an accessible location. If you have a small leak, you're not going to be able to get to it anywhere under the frame. Personally I'd mount it in the bed. Inside a toolbox maybe to keep it clean. But you always gotta think about that just in case factor.

Re: Air Bag Valve mount location?
That's what I was thinking during mock up but it make the plumbing more difficult so I'm hoping to find a way around having it inside the cab. But so far that seems to be the route I'm headong unless someone on here can spark up a better idea for me.

If the raised bed is going to be hinged or otherwise easily accessible, I would try to build a box under the bed to keep them out of the weather.

Re: Air Bag Valve mount location?
Raise the bed floor... When you lower the tail gate you'll have plenty of area to mount everything under the bed floor, but above the frame that will be accessible only when you lower the tailgate, but out of site.
