Nostalgic AC system?
Does anyone have experience with the nostalgic ac system. It's an underdash mounted system that is only AC. It let you use the factory heater system and interior box inside. I have a vintage ac system but was looking for the old style of underdash.
Any opinions?

I have an old aftermarket clardy dealer installed AC system that I just pulled out in anticipation to later install vintage air. Mine was working but just needed to be charged and uses r-12. I can send pictures tomorrow and I'm open to selling it. I also have an old York compressor with all the brackets that went with it.

Thanks for the offer but I'm looking at R-134A systems as I have all the other vehicles with that system.

Any system can be converted to use R134. My truck had an under dash AC system that would freeze you out!!!

I do , and have been very happy with their product , and service . I have used vintage air in the past , and like nostalgia better , plus nostalgia is more reasonable , vintage is great dont get me wrong vintage has electric separator doors and controls , nostalgia cable operated ,

Thanks guys for the responses. I kind of like the stand alone AC look. It looks like something installed aftermarket back in the day. Plus, I really do t want to modify the ol truck too much.

My 68,C-10 had the under-dash unit in it when I bought the truck.I've since removed it and installed an original factory unit.
I still have it if you're ever over this way-It'll be cheap!I have the York pump and mounts for a small block Chevy engine. You will need to replace the expansion valve with one compatible with 134-a and come up with a late model condenser with dual flow core.you'll also need the correct pulleys for the a/c compressor.
