Noob 70 c10

Long time lurker, and I've already gained a wealth of knowledge through this site. As of last night, she's officially mine. A few little touch ups body touch ups, 68 grill swap, new paint, new shoes, and the full murdered look is coming. I'm sure as I work through this process, I'll have tons of questions.

Re: Noob 70 c10

Thanks 68ShortWide. It's really clean. Had a totally different concept when I went to buy the truck. However, it ran and drove great. Interior was so tight and not one rattle. Didn't want to open myself up to problems. So, the next one will get the full LS Swap and Super Slick Paint. Best of luck on your build.

Re: Noob 70 c10

Seeing as you're are pretty new as of posting, but hoping I don't offend you with knowledge you may or may not know, but to do a 68 swap, you need the whole intire front clip off a 68

Re: Noob 70 c10

Thanks for the welcome and compliment 70LonghornCST.
You didn't offend me in the least 70LonghornCST. The grill swap was suggested by my builder. He is probably aware of the details involved, but I was completely unaware as I had been hunting a 67 small window. The 70 just fell in my lap. We'll see where the budget ends up. Thanks for the great info.

Re: Noob 70 c10

BlackedOutShorty,
My Avatar is the rendering of the final look. It'll be super close upon completion. The HOK Digital Paint program only has a 67, so it was the only option. Builder and I are still on the fence on how to proceed on that one, but will probably end up with just a blacked out 71 Grill since the body is in great shape as is. Everyone knows about best laid plans......
