WTB 3/4 ton 4x4 rear e-brake cables

I need a pair of rear e-brake cables for my 72 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4. This truck has a Dana 60 rear end. I also need all of the self adjusting parts for the rear brakes of the same truck. The brakes are 12 x 2.5 inches.

Re: WTB 3/4 ton 4x4 rear e-brake cables

Check with NAPA!

Last I bought rear brake cables #92421, self adjusting kits #80660-80659 and hardware kit (springs, pins, retainers) #2225. If still available, don"t buy them all as I need another set for a Dana 60 72 swb 4X4 project(just kidding). I called and the above parts are available special order. I ordered these for 72 BB C20 w/Dana 60 w/leaf. I assume they should fit 4X4 w/Dana 60. I am changing my 72 4X4 with Eaton locker to Dana 60 for better gear selection and power-loc.

I bought new rear drums, shoes and rear wheel cylinders from AC Delco.

Thanks, Dan

Re: WTB 3/4 ton 4x4 rear e-brake cables

To update you, I have sold my K20 project, so I have some things I bought that I didn't use. I have two Napa self adjuster kits ( were they the wrong ones that you ordered)?. I have two GM/Delco wheel cylinders, two GM/Delco brake drums and one set of GM/Delco brake shoes. If interested in these, I will get pics and price. Sending PM on rear NOS brake cable. Thanks, Dan

Re: WTB 3/4 ton 4x4 rear e-brake cables

Cable looks right, could you get me a length overall and housing? NAPA cables were wrong and could not get adjuster kits. I have no samples for adjusting stuff since they were gone when I got the truck. I need ALL of the adjusting stuff for 12 x 2.5 drums(levers, links, springs). Thanks for your reply as I had given up on this stuff!

Re: WTB 3/4 ton 4x4 rear e-brake cables

The brake cable is 47" long with the housing being 35" long, thats give or take 1/4".. The shipping is $13.69.

I have 1 set of the Dana 60 brake stuff for $50 a set. I will repost the correct pics as they are still mounted on the backing plates!!The brake parts pictured are WRONG!

Also, I have the NOS AC/Delco brake drums, shoes and wheel cylinders that I need $275. That is cost and all this stuff is discontinued. I installed a set of these on my 72 Custom Camper and it stops on a dime. Thought I'd give you first shot at the brake stuff before I open it to the board. LMK! Thanks, Dan

Re: WTB 3/4 ton 4x4 rear e-brake cables

Sorry about posting the wrong pics. I'm glad I remembered I had a set of backing plates and drums as it looks like the only set I have left. The drums look like they were brand new when the brake job was done.

I can do $150 plus shipping for the drums, backing plates and attaching brake stuff or $50 plus shipping on the brake stuff only.

This gives you some NOS and used options. LMK Thanks, Dan

Re: WTB 3/4 ton 4x4 rear e-brake cables

I have a pair of EIS #2785 brake cables, I think they are for a 1972 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban but should be the same as truck. I measure them at 46.5 and 34.5 for just the sheath. Let me know if they will work for you.

Re: WTB 3/4 ton 4x4 rear e-brake cables

What do you want for the pair with shipping to83854,Blazerman?
All I need is the adjusting parts if you are willing to separate. Double check that they are 12x2.5. I already have new drums and wheel cylinders on the truck. I understand if you do not want to take the backing plates apart. Give me a total with shipping for cable and adjusting parts if we can do that.

Re: WTB 3/4 ton 4x4 rear e-brake cables

I've gotten wrong brake parts from NAPA on my '72 w/Dana60, but they figured it out and got me the right ones. I get my cables, and associated parts, from Inline Tube. They will make them to your specified length if you have a lift.

Re: WTB 3/4 ton 4x4 rear e-brake cables

It took me 3 years to find two NOS cables to fit my 72 K20 w/ Eaton rear. I believe they are one year only. Like Special -K, In-line tube said if I had a good example, they could make it.
