2000 gmc headlights

I have a 2000 gmc 4x4 z71 my headlights are coming on when i start it and its not my daylite driving lights its the nitetime lights it just started doing this dont know if my headlight switch is bad or the sensor on the dash any help would be great.

Your sensor on the dash is bad.
When you replace it take care and not pull to hard on dash pad. When screws are removed pull out slightly then lift up and reach in to disconnect sensor from dash, don't want to pull on harness and break any wires or the hole that holds sensor.
