Brake sludge

Well, I guess this at least partly explains why my brakes have been weak feeling.

Yup looked like the fluid has soaked up all the water it would hold. Is this the front? I have all the stuff for the front with 2000 miles on it I'll make you a good deal on. Hoses, cylinders and shoes. I went to disc.

I have everything that came off the truck when I did the 73 to 87 a arm swap. If you want a pic of the setup with the drum off PM me a number and I'll pop a picture and text it to you. $50 shipped for the shoes, hardware wheel cylinders and brake hoses. Some of the hardware is original but the rest was put on this spring.
